Hello, I was wondering if I could offer a suggestion on a class…
A GRE (Graduate Record Exam) prep course would be great. It’s the test you have to take to get into graduate school. There are hardly any in the whole CO area, so this would probably have a high participant rate, especially in this economy.
Thanks for listening, Courtney

Most of CFU’s courses come to us when people in the community with particular skill or expertise propose a course they would like to offer. We appreciate hearing what courses you would like to see offered. We hope that this blog will also become a way for those of you with the interest in teaching to see what the community wants.

Why do you call yourself Colorado FREE University, when it is not FREE??

The origins of Colorado Free University date back to the “Free Speech” movement of the lates 60′s and early 70′s. The notion was that there should not be barriers to learning and that people should have opportunities to learn what they choose to learn. The Free U made it possible for people with knowledge or expertise to offer classes to people who have an interest in learning. The Free U has evolved beyond those early political roots to be a learning network that gives the community the chance to share knowledge, skills and new experiences. “Free to teach and free to learn.”
